What We're Looking For

Travelpro is seeking an experienced Executive Vice President to provide oversight as well as hands-on management, leadership and coordination of the company’s US sales function and retail store business units.

What You’ll Do

  • Set overall retail sales strategy, operation plans, and financial targets and establish the operational structure to maximize sales and profitability to deliver accelerated growth for the company in direct retail and 3rd-party retail, pure-play e-commerce and professional channels.
  • Sales leadership role in the company’s S&OP process
  • Work directly with the sales organization to pursue new opportunities and expand existing points of distribution as well as other white space opportunities
  • Work closely with Product and Consumer Marketing to ensure the successful launch of new product collections, ensure all brand standards are met with all partner retailers and ensure the successful commercial coordination of brand marketing and all advertising efforts
  • Work closely with the operations team to communicate retailer requirements as well as ensure accurate forecasting and healthy inventory levels as well as smooth product line transitions
  • Develop and monitor performance related to budgets, quotas, forecasts and operating expenses. Communicate status, progress and deficiencies on a regular basis, and make adjustments to plans as appropriate
  • Utilize market research and competitor analyses to develop strategies for growth
  • Provide input and feedback to the product development and marketing teams regarding product needs, competitive product and pricing strategies, and marketing tactics
  • Assist in the preparation and updating of the annual plan for Retail operations, including sales targets, cost projections and/or other financial reports
  • Develop and execute, in-store and local area marketing/advertising plans
  • Monitor and manage store product pricing structure and adherence to pricing policies
  • Evaluate existing store product merchandising assortment, product appropriation and shipping procedures and recommend improvements
  • Direct visual merchandising, including sales floor layout, signage, graphics and product assortment
  • Develop incentives packages for all retail and sales personnel
  • Manage all aspects of the retail division including operations and real estate management including liaising with retail store landlords for leasing and center related items
  • Optimize inventory in the Retail channel in accordance with targets set in the annual Plan or by other means from time to time
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a specialty in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Advanced degree desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years executive management experience in retail and/or direct sales with emphasis on partnering with key accounts including department stores, specialty stores and pure play ecommerce sites.
  • Proven track record leading a high-performance team and achieving/exceeding expectations.
  • Experience in semi-durables a plus.
  • Proven track record of successful sales/product management/business development as well as leading and directing high-performance retail and sales teams
